Pisces (f70r) Images of the Outer Ring.

Watching over the city was the Watcher, whose task was to observe everything that took place beneath the heavens, kept his attention fixed upon the city. In those days the absence of the Supreme Lord was keenly felt in the palaces and in the halls where matters of government were conducted. It was then that the Protector of the city assumed a greater burden of authority and began to direct the affairs of command. Thus commenced the events remembered from the twentieth day of April.
When the tenth of May arrived, in a season of firmness and constancy, the city's defences were strengthened, and the principal lords entered into alliances that brought greater security to their cause. From the height of his dignity, the Supreme Lord extended his protection to those who remained faithful to him, and through pacts and agreements among the various factions, discord was restrained.
Thereupon the Supreme Lord established himself as the chief source of authority, while the Disposer once more set the forces of the realm in order. At his side, the Mediator proceeded with prudence and strengthened the bonds among those who upheld the defence of the city.
The ninth of June brought with it some measure of relief. The city recovered part of its tranquillity, and its governors found a brief respite from their cares. The authority of the Supreme Lord then grew in presence and esteem. Later, on the third of November, following the ordinary course of events, the situation attained a certain stability from which benefits accrued to the city. Under the sovereign's upright judgment, ordinances were promulgated that affirmed his legitimacy and increased the respect due to his person.
Meanwhile, the Prudent One, master of discernment and counsel, guided the strategies and movements of the various factions. Yet the seventh of September marked the beginning of a new season of caution and manoeuvre. The Reserved One, who gathers and retains all that falls beneath his influence, drew together forces that had previously been scattered; while the Illustrious One, whose reputation extended throughout the city, reflected the growing credit of those who governed the course of events.
At last came the Restoration, remedy of former disorders and the cause of concord renewed. Thus ended that season of disputes, intrigues, and upheavals which had tested the steadfastness of the city and of those entrusted with its government.
